Group Bookings - Frequently Asked Questions

Large group bookings work slightly different from regular bookings as some aspects need to be changed to accommodate players wanting to run simultaneous sessions.

A large group is considered any team of 7 or more players that require 2 or more rooms running at the same time. Usually for events such as team building days, birthdays, hen’s and buck’s nights, and other events.
Large group booking usually run all the games at the same time (within a couple minutes). This way teams can have a friendly competition/race against each other.
Large group bookings work on a slightly different timetable as sessions need to be moved around slightly to accommodate simultaneous sessions. You can view the group bookings timetable at the bottom of this page.

We are able to run sessions at custom times by appointment. Subject to staff availability.
Depending on the group size there are a few different packages available. A full list of packages and prices can be found below.
Unfortunately, at the moment we do not have any food or beverages on site, other than tap water.

Depending on the time of the booking Cafe Gommy’s is located next door. However, we are only 3 minute drive from Gungahlin Town Centre which offer a number of restaurants and cafes.
For large group bookings we recommend emailing us at escape@riddleroom.com.au after you’ve thought about the booking details i.e. time, date, package, etc. This way we can hold the session for you while payment is being arranged (so no one else can book the time you’d like). Please note we can only hold session slots for 48 hours.
We have two payment options available:
1. Deposit: Once you have arranged a group time with us, you can make a deposit by booking sessions on our website riddleroom.com.au. A deposit of $40 per room is required. Please book the number of rooms you intend to use during your visit for any available time and date as you’re sessions will be on hold and not available for booking online. Be sure to include a note in your booking that you’re a large group booking and the time and date you’d like (these details should be worked out beforehand via email). Your booking will be manually updated to the correct time and date and new confirmation emails sent usually within 24 hours of payment.

2. Payment in Full: If you’d like to make the payment in full a payment request can be sent to your email. The email will contain a link that will send you to our PayPal site. There you’ll be able to securely enter credit card details and make the payment.
Often it is hard to gauge exactly how many people will be attending on the day. If this is the case we recommend booking with a deposit and the rest can be paid for on the day.
If, for example, you booked for 20 people but only 18 showed up on the day we’ll do our best to rectify this with you as soon as possible. This will be dealt by managers on a case by case basis.
Each room has a maximum amount of players. These maximum will not be exceed for any reason. Please note that these maximum are above the recommended player numbers.
The Bomb Defusal - maximum of 6 players
The Nightmare A and B - maximum of 7 players
The Dungeon - maximum of 8 players
If, for example, you’re a manager and you’d like to watch your team complete the room there may be an opportunity for One Person to monitor the session with our staff. Please note that this will spoil the room if you haven’t done it previous. This must be organised beforehand as additional equipment needs to be set up.

Packages

Team Building / Race (7 - 14 players)

The group will be split into two teams. Both teams will play identical rooms (The Nightmare A and B) and have a friendly competition to see who can escape first. Player are able to compare times afterward.

Experience Duration: Approximately 1.5 hours
Players: 7 - 14
Rooms: The Nightmare A and B
Cost: $35.00 per person

Nightmare and Dungeon (7 - 14 players)

The group will be split into two teams. One team will play The Nightmare and one team will play The Dungeon.

Experience Duration: Approximately 1.5 hours
Players: 7 - 14
Rooms: The Nightmare and The Dungeon
Cost: $35.00 per person

Three Rooms (12 - 22 players):

The group will be split into three teams (maximum 7, 7, 8). Two teams will play The Nightmare A and B and one team will play The Dungeon.

Experience Duration: Approximately 1.5 hours
Players: 12 - 22
Rooms: The Nightmare A and B and The Dungeon
Cost 12 - 17 players: $35.00 per person

Cost 20 - 22 players: $33.00 - $31.50 per person

Extended Experience 1 (7 - 14 players):

The group will split into two teams. One group starts in The Nightmare and the other in The Dungeon. They both finish their games then swap. Teams will need to be the same for the whole experience.

Experience Duration: Approximately 3 hours
Players: 7 - 14
Rooms: The Nightmare and The Dungeon
Cost: $63.00 per person (discounted by 10%)

Extended Experience 2 (12 - 18 players):

The group will split into three teams. One group will start in each of our rooms; The Nightmare, The Dungeon and The Bomb Defusal. Once completed, they will rotate to the next room and then once more. Each player gets three games. Please note the Bomb Defusal is a 30 minute game meaning there will be a 30 minute break for that team.

Experience Duration: Approximately 4 hours
Players: 12 - 18
Rooms: The Nightmare, The Dungeon and The Bomb Defusal
Cost: $77.00 per player (discounted by ~%15)
